What was and will be
Some major behind the scenes changes still occurring in HMR land. Some big things though: Crafting and the basis for Relationships are in.
We're REALLY close to a functional Aleph announcement and this means prior to Beth there will be sdv/hm style romancing the NPCs. Of course this is an mmo so you'll have to keep your lovers' interest as other players can try to woo them.
Be mindful this is not like stardew valley, Harvest Moon or Fable where you can just keep cramming desired gifts down your lovers' throat. NPCs will have preferences but some of those preferences will be social and moral in nature and being harassed will not be to everyone's liking.
Aside from that, content will be made soon. This means the town and a large overhaul to personal farms which ALSO means everyone's farms will be wiped out once content is made and regenerated. Everyone can keep their characters and account names but your farm will get deleted and remade anew.
What is and will be
Small push to get some fixes in and the new merchant/cost eval code in anticipation of filling in the village content.
Small push of just today's items. The music player has been expanded and action results can now be clustered for a random "loot table" style chance of occurring.
Mostly this was to fix the Features pages which I had broken by changing the Action format.
HUGE huge huge push today. Loads of minor tweaks (and some major) to the client UX and I think we're getting somewhere. The new Key Legend should help people get up to speed with the old and new key bindings. I intend to introduce an account config page for editing keybindings as well.
Loads of action system changes with a few more to come but the new inventory selection system in the client should help quite a bit with the clunky use command syntax. You can now highlight a usable item in your inventory (visually) and the client will do you the favor of adding in the "use itemname" part of the use command. Now you can highlight a watering can and "water direction" as long as it stays highlighted and full of water. Additionally self-targeted uses (which will be coming in abundance soon) no longer require a direction to work.
This should make farming much easier.
HMR mud is essentially an mmo version of Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley using unicode characters for the "graphics". We are currently in Aleph phase which means everything is extremely rough and at some point data will be wiped.
